But, only one person from Šibenik managed to succeed in faraway Finland, the land of Santa Claus. In this cold Scandinavian land among fifty other Croats lives the 20-year old Natali Paić. Natali wnet in the Leonin role model school in Šibenik, and two years ago she won the title of second follower of the miss of Šibenik-Knin province. „Since I was always interested in journalism, I started to cooperate with the portal www.cmar-net.org, which is related to rock and heavy metal music. One of my first interviews was in Zagreb with the famous band Children of Bodom. I stayed in contact with the guys, and some months later, they invited me to Helsinki. At the time I finished high-school, so I wanted to try and find a job there, because Helsinki offers a lot of things, especially for people that do music“ said Natali. Natali had no troubles in Helsinki, since almost everyone in Finland speaks english, and other than that she speaks Russian, since her mother is Russian. After some minor jobs, she found a great job in the famous rock club Rocktown, in which she, as a PR manager, arranges concerts and interviews famous bands. Other than that, she is moderating the web portal Wild Roses, on which she publishes her interviews and news. PARTICIPATING IN THE VIDEO OF THE BAND SWALLOW THE SUN „Finns mostly listen to hard & heavy music, mostly because during winter, there is only a few hours of day. That definitely does influence on the mood of the people. But, despite that, Finns are really nice people, and among them, I found many friends.“ Says Natali. It is among musicians where Natali found her friends, and she participated in the video of the famous Finnish band Swallow The Sun. The video is for the song „Don't Fall Asleep“, which was popular on MTV, and can still be seen on youtube. „All of them are normal people that gladly want to meet new friends. Personally I know the members of almost all famous Finnish bands like Nightwish, Apocalyptica or HIM“ adds Natali. It is because of her that last week Mika Karppinen, drummer of HIM, arrived to Šibenik and gave an exclusive interview for Novi Tjednik magazine. „Ofcourse, during summer I am in Finland, because the best cure for cold Finnish winters is the hot Šibenik summer. It is my wish that this summer I bring some other musicians, and if possible to make a good concert“ says Natali. Other than music, Natali is still active as a role model. For the agency Exte models she already recorded a book and participated in a few fashion reviews in Helsinki. Soon she is transferring to the agency Brand and she will participate in a shooting in London. And after the New year she will probably go to America. The whole world is in front of Natali!
