Ilta_sielu: Ville and I met last summer in Helsinki, when I visited the mysterious, most rock n' roll city in the world, invited by the government of Finland. Back then, I talked to Ville for about an hour, and quickly realised he is one of the sweetest, most humble rockstars I've had the pleasure of meeting. Our interview wasn't shot professionally, as I was in Helsinki without a professional camera or a filming crew, and that caused a lot of fuss on the internet. Some fans were angered with the image and sound of the recording, done with a regular digital camera, seeing as I only had the intention of making that a written interview. And, still, the video that was done for the Spin Earth website is the most viewed until this day - ten months later. Absurd discussions happened in comments - even about the shorts I was wearing because of the heat in the city. I should've known: Ville Valo fans are the most in love ones. Lucky for him! We sat backstage last night in Las Vegas to talk about what happened since our last encounter. Ten months ago he was rehearsing a lot and preparing to go to Los Angeles to record the band's new album: "Screamworks: Love In Theory and Practice", which is now in stores, with producer Matt Squire. Ville agreed to meet me right before going on stage and, even still took the time and patience to answer my questions and remember moments form last summer. My column tomorrow on Folha (one of the biggest Brazilian newspapers) will be about the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, so the article about H.I.M. should be out in about two weeks.
