Beautiful: The Greek HIM fanclub DarkSecret Club did an exclusive new interview with Ville Valo for new Greek issue of an international music magazine. Ville talks for more than 25 minutes on the new album, taking us through its music on a special studio report, track by track and giving new revealing information on the release, videos and next moves of upcoming months. Most important news coming out: - HIM will release “Rip Out The Wings of A Butterfly” as their first international single late August/ early September. - The band has already shot a new video for “..Wings of A Butterfly” which now is in the process of editing. - Director of the new video is Meiert Avis , from Ireland currently living in L.A. and the result looks like an old movie, reminding of U2’s "With Or Without You" (also of Meiert Avis). For more information on Meiert Avis please see below*. - Ville promises a unique and extended European tour (“…we will practically visit almost every country in Europe…”- including Greece, early next year). - Ville decribes the artwork of Dark Light as something really different from what they’ve done so far, although the heartagram will appear on it again. Artwork is still not finished and Valo is very involved in its creation and ideas. - Pictures by Ross Halfin are not the new HIM promo pictures, but part of them will be kept for magazine promotion, a merchandise company ( t-shirts) and an upcoming HIM calendar. - Kerrang tracklist contains all accurate new track titles but not in the given order which still has not been decided. - Valo jokes about Dark Light title saying it has been decided..trying to avoid breaking the “contrast-balance” tradition in HIM albums and so that it can stand on its own as something simple. - New album will be widely distributed in South America, Australia and -as expected- in the United States. *Meiert Avis is a well known Hollywood director, working on music videos (including U2’s "Where the Streets Have No Name", Seal’s “Walk On By”, New Found Glory in "Failure's Not Flattering”, Avril Lavignes’ “Happy Ending”, Matchbox 20 in "Unwell” and even Jennifer Lopez in "Baby I Love You” ) and anthologies of U2, Bruce Springdsteen (Video Anthology 1978-2000) while his filmography includes the 1989 horror drama “Far From Home” starring Drew Barrimore and new (2005) film “Undiscovered”(previously titled “Wannabe”) starring Kip Pardue, Ashlee Simpson , Carrie Fisher and Perrey Reeves, set in the world of up-and-coming artists, tells the story of an aspiring model who falls in love with a struggling musician (see link for production stills) Ville talks about symbolism, lyrics, Tim Palmer, L.A., nostalgia, innovations in HIM music, target groups and many more, followed by a detailed analysis of each of the "Dark Light" tracks. Бэм популярен со своим шоу, но режиссёр из него никудышный. нет ни новых идей, ни красивой картинки (а видео ведь должно всё-таки привлекать внимание и сглаживать недостатки песни), ни необычных ракурсов...всё уже пройдено и до скуки предсказуемо...

ланфир: Девушки, если вы видели выше перечисленные клипы данного режиссера, то скорее всего догадались, что видео скорее всего будет действительно бесцветным и бессюжетным(у него такая манера)! ОНИ все типа солист в центре кадра весь такой натуральненький практически без макияжа и вот он мечется перед камерой попутно поет свою песню(оооочень скучно).Надеюсь, что я ошибаюсь!

This is the first single from the album, a very straightforward track, pretty much influenced by The Mission. It s the shortest track in the album, less than 3:30 minutes, very intense and direct and dark. I can say for sure, it sounds nothing like we ve done before so I really can t compare it with something of ours. "Killing Loneliness" ... This is a very nice track performing live, that s why we started playing it in several festivals. It was one of the first tracks we arranged..practiced for the new album, but it was a bit too mellow to be the first single so we went for the "Butterfly" one instead of that.
