Curty: Анонсируется интервью с нашими на 4х страницах, ждем читабельных сканов [more]HIM One year after Venus Doom, the 6th studio album from the finish Love Metal band, it's really time to draw the ballance. How has the tour been? How is life after rehab? How is it going on? How will the coming songs sound and what's true about the rumour about the Amy Winehouse duett? A lot of questions, which Ville answers backstage at the LTU arena. Rockoon: Ville, how are you? I haven't seen you a long time. Ville Valo: Oh, great. Thanks a lot! R: How is the Project Revolution tour working for HIM? V.V.: Very good, Whereas it's the second part. We have done it last year already - in North America, where we have been playing 35 shows in 2 month with Linkin Park. And when we heard about the opportunity of playing a few shows with them in Europe, we said 'yes' directly. Not more. That's really simple. And we're not playing at all european gigs, but at 3 in Germany. From there it's not a very hard thing. And it's not the same festival as it is in Amerika, what I did expect - that there are more stages and more bands. But it's more like Linkin Park is the headliner and we are the coheadlinder and a few "prebands". But I think it's great that there are so many different acts. Like "the bravery", "the used" and N*E*R*D. That's really cool. And in Berlin the audience liked it. There was a very good audience. Because when you are a supportact most of the people only come because of the headliner... and they don't mind the rest. In this respect you as a band never know what you can expect. And especially in Munic it was a bit quiet - and I mean TOO quiet. R: What was wrong? V.V.: Well, in Munic have been a lot of young people - a lot more than in Berlin. And when we played Rebel Yell from Billy Idol, they did not know the song. But I don't want to say anything against young people. I'm basically happy that the visit us. But probably they only heard the Scooter version of this song or something like that. That was really wired. But in Berlin everybody rocked with us, when we played this song. And we did it at the end of the 90s already and for all the festivals we put it to the set again, because a lot of people asked us and it's really fun to play the song. But in Munic it was not that great.. There we got the least applause in comparison with all songs we played. And unfortunatly it was the last song we played. Not a very good idea (giggles) R: There are romours that they offerd you to make the title song to the next James Bond movie and you declined. Is it true or just another interner rumour? V.V.: No,No... But the story is like that: I was at a songwriter gala in London, there have been a lot of big pepole and the bond people too, the once who write the music. But I did not meet them knowingly. Who knows? Mabee I shooke their hands, I don't know, there have been too many big people you shooke hands with and said "How are you? Nice to meet you" That way of conversation. But then somebody who recognized it got the idea of making a big story out of it and put in online and tell I'd work on the titlesong to the next bond. Of course it has not lasted to long till it has been in the british press, too. What made me happy. Because I think the Bond guys could read it and ask "who is that Finn?" Maybee they try me and something happens. I mean, I know that Amy Winehouse is working on a song and for me a big dream would come true, if I could sing a duett with her. I'm serious I'm a really big fan and who knows, the world is such a wired place, where a romour like that can have the desired effect. Because I'd love to do it. At least I grew up with this Bond movies and I still watch them. and I got really angry about the Chris Cornell song, which hasn't been a really bad song, but no comparrison to the classic songs. Or to the A-ha and Duran Duran songs. This 80s stuff was really great. R: Do you mean, you have a track already in case they ask you? V.V.: No, and I guess it's more like the bond people write the songs together with the choosen artists, so it's more like a collaboaration. The Bond themes have a speciall sound and a speciall feeling in that respect it's like a norm, I think. But hey, to do something like that is a chance you only get once in your life an because of that you have to take the chance if you have it. Especially if you are a big fan as I am. Because of that I really hope that something happens. R:So, the big Ville Valo/Amy Winehouse Duett? V.V.: Why not? Amy is great. And I'm happy that she's doing better now and she had a great performance at this festival for the 90 birthday of Nelson Mandela. She looked really good there - even if she had a lot of make up in her face too much for my taste. But hey she's still young, and this paparazzi culture or better paparazzi UNculture in GB can be really hard. They follow her 24 Hours a day and don't give you a breather. and for a young girl it must be really awful to get to know all this fame and attention. Where people offer you all this free alcohol and drugs - what makes you crazy... But I hope she can deal with it better now. [/more] click here
